Wall Roll Relay

-Objective:

To pass a stability ball along a wall as quickly as possible

-Fundamental Movement Skills:

  • Manipulative Retain

    • Carry​

-Equipment List:

  • One stability ball per team of three to five players

-Equipment Link:

-Setting Up:

  • Determine the distances the teams need to cover.

  • Have players lie beside each other on their backs with their feet up and leaning against a wall.

  • The first person in the line balances a ball on her feet and the wall.

-Instructions:

  • On your signal to begin, the first player rolls the ball to rest on the feet of the next player in line.

  • The first person then runs to the end of the line and prepares to receive the ball.

  • If the ball falls or if players touch it with their hands, the whole team must begin again.

  • The first team to finish is the winner.

-Questions & Notes:

  • Two-Ball Wall Roll: With a larger group, use two balls at the same time, with players getting up and running to the ends of the lines once they have passed the second ball.
