Presure Tag Back to Back

-Objective:

To not be tagged by an It while keeping a ball between pairs of players

-Fundamental Movement Skills:

  • Locomotor

  • Balance

-Equipment List:

  • One stability ball (or any other ball) per pair of players, and two pool noodles per pair of Its

-Setting Up:

  • Players select a partner and with their partner are in a scattered position around the playing area.

  • Partners squeeze their stability ball between their bodies, back-to-back, and do not hold the ball up with their hands or arms while moving.

  • One pair of players for every five to seven pairs is assigned to be It and those players are given a pool noodle with which to tag other players.

-Instructions:

  • On the leader’s signal to begin the Its try to tag other players. When they succeed, or chased players drop their ball, the Its give their pool noodles to the tagged players who become the new Its.

  • If the ball sags, players can stop briefly, put the ball higher with their hands, and then move again without touching the ball with their hands–no moving is allowed while holding the ball with player’s hands.
