-Setting Up:
-
Players stand in a line with their groups, facing the backs of the players in front of them about one pace apart from each other.
-
Make sure there is enough distance behind the last player in line for someone to either go behind or stand to one side to have the group turn a corner when it gets too close to a wall.
-
Give the front player the ball.
-Instructions:
-
On your signal to begin, the front player passes the ball back overhead to the second player in line. The front player then runs to the back of the line.
-
The second player puts the ball down on the ground and passes it under his legs to the next player in line.
-
Players alternate between passing the ball overhead and passing it under the legs before running to the back of the line.
-
The ball is passed to the end of the line, at which point the first player is behind the last player and the players continue to pass the ball back.
-
Have the groups count each successive time the ball goes past the first player.
-
Groups should keep track of the highest number of successive passes through the group during the allotted time (one or two minutes should be adequate).

Tips and Variations
-
Forward Over and Under:
-
Played the same as Over and Under except that players pass the ball forward instead of backward.
-
This version is more challenging because the player in front cannot as easily see the ball coming.
