-Instructions:

  • On your signal to begin, the first player in each team dribbles (bounces) the ball around the team’s cones.

  • When the first player comes back to the starting line, she gives the ball to the second player, who completes the obstacle course. The same process occurs for the remaining players.

  • While the players are dribbling their balls around the cones, the rest of the team does jumping jacks as they cheer the dribblers on.

  • When the final player crosses the starting line, the first player takes the ball again, and the team sits quietly in a line behind the first player. The first team to complete the obstacle and sit down is the winner.

-Questions & Notes:

  • Soccer Dribble Relay: Played the same as Dribble Relay except that players must dribble the ball using only their feet and legs.

  • Shuffle Dribble Relay: Played the same as Dribble Relay except that players must place the balls of their feet on two pieces of carpet (if the course is on carpet, use two pieces of scrap paper) and shuffle around the obstacle course while dribbling the ball with their hands.
