-Setting Up:
-
Establish a small area for players to play in–something like a six meter/yard square.
-
All players are inside the playing area.
-
Two players are designated to be It, and one of them holds a stability ball.
-Instructions:
-
Upon the leader’s signal to begin the Its pass the ball to each other and try to tag someone with the ball.
-
The It without the ball can move around the square to get in a better position where he can catch the ball and tag one of the other players using the ball.
-
The It with the ball can only pivot on one foot.
-
When an It tags another player, or a player goes out-of-bounds, the It with the ball and the caught player switch roles.
-Questions & Notes:
-
Tactically it is advantageous for the Its to make quick short passes as they try to corner a player.
-
If you have a larger area, have two pairs of players be It, each with their own ball–the two pairs can work independently or cooperate in catching other players.
