Ultimate Football

-Objectif:

Titre 1

To score more points than the other team by catching the ball in the other team’s goal area.

  • One football per game with two teams of 4-12 players

-Mise en place:

  • The field should be approximately 20 paces wide and 40 paces long with a goal area 10 paces behind each goal area.

  • The two teams line up on their goal lines and one team is given the ball.

-Instructions:

  • Upon the signal to begin players from both teams move onto the field of play.

  • The player with the ball may not run or walk with the ball and must pass it to a player within 3 seconds of receiving it.

  • A player defending the passer must be 3 paces or further away.

  • If the ball is intercepted the other team passes the ball towards their opponent’s goal area.

  • If the pass is incomplete the other team picks up the ball and attempts to pass the ball towards their opponent’s goal area.

  • If a team catches the ball in their opponent’s goal area they score a point.

  • When a point is scored both teams get behind their goal lines and go on to the field upon the signal to begin play again.

  • Instructional tips:

    • For fewer players make the field smaller.

  • Variations:

    • Ultimate Soccer (or Hockey or Lacrosse): Played the same as Ultimate Football but using a soccer ball that is kicked and trapped, or using a hockey stick and puck that is passed and trapped, or using a stick and a ball that is passed and caught.
