-Mise en place:

  • Number of Players

    • Two to six players to a station

  • Setup

    • Set up the stations listed in the instructions section.

-Instructions:

  • Shot Put: Players cradle stability balls on their shoulders and one hand. They propel the balls with their hand as far as they can. Measure where the balls land.

  • Triple Jump: From a stationary position, players toss their balls with two hands as far as possible. The distance is measured at the spot where the balls land on the third bounce.

  • Hammer Throw: Players stand backward to where they plan to throw their balls. They hold their balls and throw them over their heads as far as possible. The measurement is taken from where the balls first bounce.

  • High Jump: Players bounce their balls hard on the ground and try to get them to bounce as high as possible. Measure the approximate highest point that the balls go up to. If players are strong and their first bounce is too difficult to measure, measure the height of the second bounce.

-Questions et notes:

  • Tips and Variations

    • Increase the size of the ball to make the challenges more difficult.

    • If the ball hits the ceiling, the throw doesn’t count.

    • To calculate an overall champion, add up the total distance for each event (but multiply the hammer throw by two and the high jump by three to make all the numbers comparable).
