Bucket Tag

ITs try to tag everyone before players free themselves by tossing a beanbag into a bucket.

One dozen beanbags.
Four buckets.
-Mise en place:
Define the playing area and make a square in the middle of the playing area approximately two paces across each way.
Place the 12 beanbags into the middle of the square.
Place the buckets a reasonable distance (so players can reasonably toss a beanbag into the buckets with some success) from the edge of the square.
Players stand in a scattered position in the playing area--but outside the inner square.
Define an IT.

On the leader's signal to begin the IT attempts to tag the other players.
If players are tagged, they go into the centre square and attempt to toss a beanbag into a bucket--any beanbags that land in a bucket frees the tosser and the beanbag remains in the bucket.
If the IT tags all players and there are no players left to tag the IT wins.
What are some ways players can improve their accuracy when tossing the beanbag into the buckets?
