-Mise en place:

  • Set up a square with four courts (use markers as needed).

  • Each square should be about 1-4 paces wide.

  • Players each stand in a square.

  • Number the other player squares clockwise 1, 2, 3, and 4.

-Instructions:

  • The player in the number 1 square is King/Queen.

  • The player in the number 1 square call out, Rock, Paper, Name, Throw.

  • All players follow with Rock and Paper, but only the player named executes a Throw.

  • If other players Throw they move to the number 4 square.

  • If the player that is not number 1 wins, then the player in the number 1 square goes to square 4 and all players move up.

  • The new King/Queen repeats the game...

-Questions et notes:

  • Variation: If you have three or five players this game works just as well.

  • Note: A great game at the beginning of a season to get to know other's names.

  • What does it feel like to be King/Queen or be knocked to Square 4?
